Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon I didn’t like the start of Outlander…it was just too silly for me, and Claire seemed too accepting of the fact that she’d been magically transported to the 18th century. She jumps right in, attending to injured men (me, I’d be trying to figure out what the heck was happening and how I could get back to my own time). But, as I suppose was inevitable, I was won over to the story. Jamie is a sweet character, and definitely a romantic character, and I fully believed his relationship with Claire. Despite the fact that at times I felt like I was reading a very graphic romance novel, I did enjoy the read and will most likely pick up the next in the series for a day at the beach.
