Soul Enchilada by David Macinnis Gill
I read an excerpt of this book before it was published, a few years ago. I’d been looking forward to reading it for quite some time, but, in the end, it wasn’t my favorite YA novel. It wasn’t the worst, but I left it feeling vaguely apathetic. The story is original enough, but I didn’t ultimately didn’t feel a connection with any of the characters. Wish I had better things to say!
